Beach handball is a dynamic and fast-paced variant of traditional handball played on sandy surfaces. This can be a real beach but also a sand court in the middle of a city. It is characterised by its exciting and acrobatic nature, with teams of four players, including a goalkeeper, engaging in high-energy, skillful manoeuvres. The sport encourages creativity and fair play in both attacking and defensive strategies. One of the distinctive features of beach handball is the opportunity for players to score "spectacular" goals, which adds an entertaining and visually striking dimension to the game. The matches are played in 2 sets of 10 minutes, and, in case of a tie, a shoot-out.
